Traction Finance were welcomed back to Gym Co’s Finaghy gym this week to celebrate recent fundraising success in aid of Bowel Cancer UK.

Thanks to Gym Co Finaghy providing a venue and collecting cash to help the fundraising drive, a total of £1,007 was raised when Traction, a vehicle finance company from nearby Dunmurry, entered a team into last month’s Edwards and Co Solicitors #RowAMarathon four hour indoor rowing event.

Thanking Gym Co management, staff and members – who even pitched in to help with the rowing on the day – were Niamh McDaid from Bowel Cancer UK and Traction Sales Director Andrew McCormick.

The #RowAMarathon event, which was supported by local cloud computing firm Novosco, saw workplace teams compete to cover the greatest distance on an indoor rowing machine within a four hour period. The overall event raised a combined total of £15,000 for the Bowel Cancer UK charity.

The next challenge for ‘Team Traction’ will be August’s popular Féile 10k event, which is sponsored by Gym Co and runs from the CitySide Gym Co gym before finishing at Gym Co Finaghy.
