Make an enquiryIntroducing the world’s biggest Zorb… with a Nissan Note inside
Nissan have created the world’s largest ever Zorb with a Nissan Note inside, designed to visually highlight and represent the effectiveness of the manufacturer’s Safety Shield technology – a suite of driver assistance technology to alert motorists to potential hazards.
As the Note celebrates its first anniversary on European Roads, Nissan wanted to visually show how the Safety Shield technology works. The Safety Shield which is available to the New Nissan Note features innovative technology to make drivers more aware of impending dangers.
The Safety Shield includes Blind Spot Warning, which alerts you via a discreet light if there is a vehicle in the blind spot area on either side of the Note; Lane Departure Warning warns you if you start to drift out of your lane. Finally Moving Object Detection tells you if there is anything approaching the Note, such as a small child or animal, the car can give you an audio or visual warning when there is anything moving near the car. The Safety Shield relies on a 360 degree Around View Monitor to tell drivers of any problems outside the car.
The mammoth Zorb which is made of strong inflatable plastic, took more than two months to build, weighs more than a tonne and measured six metres in diameter and 18 meters in circumference.
The “CarZorb” as Nissan dubbed it, was tested at a top secret military training facility in the UK, where it was rolled down a steep hill with the Nissan Note safely tucked inside, and reached the bottom without as much as a dent.
