Goodbye to the Tax Disc

From 1 October 2014, the paper tax disc will no longer need to be displayed on your vehicle windscreen, as it is being phased out in favour of an electronic register.

The registered keeper – will be responsible for ensuring that the Road Fund License (RFL) is paid.

All drivers please be aware of this change and remember that any Traction vehicles you have on contract hire with us will remain taxed whilst the vehicle is registered to our business.

This is the first of two cuts in red tape which will also see the paper element of the driving licence removed in 2015.

From the 1st of October 2014, you’ll still need to tax your vehicle but you won’t need a tax disc.
