Paul began his career in the automotive industry in 1995. From Fleet Sales Manager to General Manager in a just a few short years, he has always been focused on finding new ways to delight and deliver for his customers. In 2003 Paul opened Lease Options Ltd in Northern Ireland. After 11 successful years of year–on–year growth, Paul realigned the business with finance mobility and new and innovative ways to keep people mobile. With this move came a new name and brand – Traction. Paul attributes his many long term business relationships to his passion for delivering superior customer service. His own personal values of integrity, fairness and honesty influence all aspects of the business, as he endeavours to give his customers the very best value for money. A brilliant sporting competitor, Paul has a natural ability to remain calm, level headed and extremely focused in any situation. He puts a great deal of thought into all his decisions, ensuring staff and customers always receive a fair outcome.

As well as a company director, Lesley is responsible for Traction’s IT. She ensures that all technical issues are addressed accordingly to keep business–critical systems operational. “If we break it, Les will fix it!” is the team’s mantra. Lesley is the in–house computer and ‘anything that plugs in’ engineer. She is extremely knowledgeable with IT which is a vital role within Traction given the level of investment that has been made in systems and hardware across the company. As well as bringing her technology skills to the team, Lesley brings a soothing aura into the office with her light–heartedness, level–headedness and calm, controlled approach to life and business.

Following graduation from Queens University, Ciarán completed his training contract at EY and qualified as a Chartered accountant in 2013. He spent the next eight years within one of Northern Ireland’s largest companies, progressing from group accountant to the position of head of finance for the group. In addition to leading the group’s financial reporting and control function, he gained an in–depth exposure to the commercial and operational aspects of running a group of 35 companies, with 2,500 employees and £750 million turnover spanning industries including commercial vehicle sales, rental and repair, road transport, manufacturing, asset finance, construction equipment sales and rental and property management. Ciarán has a very strong analytical focus with an eye for identifying and driving efficiencies and continuous improvement and prides himself on adopting a firm but fair philosophy in all aspects of his professional life. A keen and competitive sports man, Ciarán would pick the highlight of his career as representing St.Endas in Croke park in the all Ireland GAA final in 2019 and attributes his ability to work well within a team to his sporting background.

Sam has more than 30 years’ experience in finance and management within the manufacturing and service sectors. The knowledge he has gained across a range of disciplines provides him with a unique perspective when developing Traction processes to meet the needs and expectations of our customer base. Systematic, logical and professional in his approach, he takes pride in achieving profitable results in an efficient manner.

Martina has 25 years’ experience in the industry and has been with the company since inception, making her the longest serving member of staff. She is responsible for managing the finances of the business. Martina is a popular member of the wider Traction team. She is a perfectionist in every way and works extremely efficiently under pressure, whilst developing strong relationships with customers and staff alike.

Robert is an experienced motor industry professional with almost 20 years of experience dealing with both individuals and corporate clients in all industries. He is fully accredited by the Institute of Bankers to give advice on and sell financial products and is also on the Council of the Vehicle Leasing Association of Ireland. Robert has a very strong customer focus, building trust and confidence while establishing excellent long term relationship. His dedication to customer satisfaction is evident by a loyal customer base and a willingness to always go that extra mile.

Paul is a highly experienced and committed sales professional, with more than 30 years of direct, business–to–business selling and has been established within the contract hire sector for the last 18 years. He thrives on building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and is passionate about listening and responding to their individual needs. This consultancy approach has resulted in an extensive customer base, drawn from wide and varied sectors throughout the UK and Ireland. Over the last number of years Paul has developed specialist knowledge of the electric vehicle industry and has a deep understanding of this evolving area and the benefits it can bring.

Liam has worked in the vehicle leasing and fleet management industry for almost 20 years dealing with fleet sizes ranging from one vehicle to 200. Having worked in various roles including Fleet Administration, Sales Support and Account Management, Liam has great knowledge of market trends, systems and the key information needed to assist customers with business fleet decision making, including the current trend of moving towards a greener fleet. Liam has a strong understanding of what is required to keep customers mobile and he strives to ensure high customer satisfaction throughout the process, from new vehicle choices to a smooth delivery and handover to our valued customers.

Jonny began his career in the motor industry back in the early 1990s, having a background at dealership level from accounts, administration, sales and into management. He has transferred these skills into the contract hire arena, combining a dedication to customer care, which is seen through many loyal customers, with excellent long–term relationships. He has always held central the need to put the client first. He has studied Business Strategy to Master of Arts level.

Matthew has been with Traction since 2018 managing and re–marketing our ex–lease vehicles. He has a strong working relationship with Traction’s sales and maintenance teams and they collaborate well together, ensuring our customer’s mobility and needs come first. Matthew has qualified with the London Institute of Banking and Finance with certification for Automotive Finance Specialist, and will soon complete his Bachelors degree in Business Studies. In Matthew’s words, “Interacting with customers regularly and seeing the excitement on handover day is what makes this job so rewarding”.

Ian has been with Traction Finance since January 2020 as Business Development Manager. He has over 5 years’ experience in the motor industry, predominantly in the fleet sector dealing with customers from a wide range of business industries as well as personal customers. Ian has account management experience and is also an experienced new business generator. His professional and friendly approach is evident by forming trust and confidence in establishing strong customer relationship. Driven to excel, Ian takes great pride in sales and development and gets a great sense of satisfaction when exceeding customer expectations. Outside of the motor realm Ian is a sports enthusiast enjoying running and football.

Conor is an experienced B2B and B2C consultant. He places himself in his customers’ shoes to fully understand their requirements and to help them to achieve their goals. His motor trade experience and automotive technology degree enable him to present creative mobility solutions tailored to individual customer needs. His satisfaction comes from their successes. Conor’s goal is to develop relationships to elevate his position beyond supplier, to trusted advisor. Customer satisfaction means the world to him. He believes in always aiming for perfection to consistently achieve customer service excellence. His loyal customer base is testament to this.

With over 35 years’ experience in the motor industry, and leading Traction’s Maintenance team for the last decade, Gary is an industry expert when it comes to all things that can arise in leading edge fleet maintenance and management. As a fully qualified vehicle technician, coupled with many years in fleet and service management, Gary constantly seeks to provide efficient service, strong leadership and technical understanding in his post–sales customer advocacy. Gary works with the mind–set that “every customer touch point matters” and uses this as his mantra to ensure successful outcomes for Traction’s customers.

A long–serving member of the team, Ryan has been working with Traction for over 15 years. Ryan’s current role is within Traction’s maintenance team, where his organisation skills and customer relationships are utilised to ensure our customers stay mobile. Ryan works closely with our customers and servicing partners, providing a swift resolution to any issues that occur within our fleet. With hands–on experience, having served his time as a mechanic, he has a great understanding of all things mechanical and his ample knowledge and advice provides great helpfulness to customers. Ryan gets great satisfaction from resolving problems promptly and exceeding customer expectations.

Laura has 30 years’ experience within the motor industry, the past 15 years being spent in the leasing and fleet management sector. Laura has operated within a variety of roles including maintenance, sales and administration and has a clear understanding of what is required to ensure that all processes operate effectively whilst meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Laura is part of the sales support department with Traction which involves communicating daily with the sales team, dealers, finance companies and customers to manage the process from order to delivery with efficiency and diligence. She strives to maintain the level of customer service and integrity synonymous with Traction.

Joanne has over 18 years’ experience in the banking sector, specialising in asset finance, and also previously worked for a large motor retailer before joining the Traction Team in October 2020. Joanne is dedicated to supporting the sales team and also takes responsibility for the management of finance facilities for customers. Her day–to–day role includes quoting new business, securing credit for customers and maintaining relationships with funders. Joanne keeps customers and colleagues at the forefront of her attention and takes pride in being approachable, calm and helpful while making sure the job gets done.

Patricia “Trish” has been with Traction since day one so makes up part of the many long serving staff that Traction is fortunate to have. With more than two decades of experience within the motor industry, she is the backbone of the office. She assists the Finance team diligently and efficiently and describes working at Traction as being part of a “family”. Trish offers great support to the team with nothing ever being too much trouble for her. Since the installation of our Fleetware software, Trisha took it on as her baby and knows the day–to–day intricacies of running the system inside out. She is intelligent, loyal and a great leveller in tricky situations, always seeing the positive in every situation.

Allison joined the Traction team in May 2015 and is responsible for looking after the sales and purchase ledgers and banking activities. Her bubbly and friendly personality is a hit both within the office and with customers.

Stephanie joined the Traction team in March 2020 and is now an integral part of the maintenance team. Previously working in accounts and having 15 years of motor industry experience, she has extensive knowledge of the business from payments to admin. Stephanie is conscientious, committed and dedicated and works to strict deadlines, working with meticulous attention to detail.

Martin has been with Traction since May 2021 and is responsible for the valeting and detailing of our ex–lease vehicles and new vehicles when required. Martin works closely alongside the used car department ensuring vehicles are prepared to a high standard. Additionally, working closely with our sales and maintenance teams when required. Martin has recently completed a course in vehicle detailing and keeps up to date with the latest paint correction techniques and vehicle cleaning methods. Having previously been a business owner, Martin enjoys a challenge and works well both independently and as part of the team.

Adèle graduated from Maynooth University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Software Engineering in 2017. Since completing her degree, she has worked in roles spanning both the private and public sector, in industries such as technology, law, and immigration services. Her well rounded experience has allowed her to establish an extensive understanding of customer service and administration processes. As a result, this has allowed her to continually build positive, lasting relationships with colleagues and suppliers.

Sheelin joined Traction Finance in January 2016, having previously worked in Bank of Ireland where she had 20 years’ banking experience in both personal and business banking. She continues to be a member of the Institute of Bankers. Sheelin provides excellent customer service and has a strong customer focus with a structured and organised approach. She is a part of our accounts team in Traction, dealing with all aspects of account management.

Anne has been with Traction for five years as an administrator. In this role she coordinates with customers and local authorities in order to ensure adherence with tax, CVRT and NCT deadlines. Anne has effective time management and communication skills which are vital to ensure Traction’s fleet operates within Irish Road Safety and Motor tax legislation.
